Ahh, the obsession of so many women.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have the definition that Ryan has in the movie Crazy, Stupid, Love?

Sure it would. If you’re a red blooded male, you definitely want to have abs like Ryan Gosling. I mean, look at them. They’re nicely defined but not overly muscular to where it scares a girl when you take your shirt off.

He looks just as good dressed in GQ style as he does shirtless, although many people would say that he looks better shirtless.


What does he do that causes him to look this good? Does he starve himself and work out 24 hours a day? Was he just naturally born this way? Is it because he’s a Hollywood actor and they photoshopped his whole look?

His abs are not photoshopped.

Was that a shock to you? For me personally when I first saw the trailer of Crazy, Stupid, Love and Emma Stone says ”Seriously?! It’s like your photoshopped!!”

That is what a majority of people think when they see Hollywood celebrities that are lean but still muscular. It makes sense that we think this too, with all the magazines photoshopping things and fixing imperfections it’s a normal occurrence. But Ryan Gosling is not photoshopped. He’s really in that good of shape.

So what can you do to get abs like Ryan Gosling?

Proper Diet and exercise is necessary to get abs like Ryan Gosling. However, the exercises that you do are going to be a little different from what you are used to hearing. Your diet is also going to become more of a lifestyle choice than a diet. What I mean here is that Ryan Gosling is always in that lean shape. His abs are usually faintly visible but when he needs them to really pop out, he does what’s in the video above.

It’s my guess that you still want to eat junk food and don’t want to give up drinking beer just so you can have a six pack. I’m with you there and feel the same way.

The truth of the matter is that you can still have the junk food and drink beers, it just needs to be on certain days. The rest of your week needs to be extremely strict with no straying from the diet. I know this might sound easy, but it’s difficult to stay true to a diet 6 days a week.

However, if you want to get abs like Ryan Gosling you are going to need to make the sacrifices. Just think of the girls saying that it looks like you’re photoshopped the next time you take off your shirt. How would that make you feel?

You don’t need to spend all your money on a personal trainer.

You probably don’t have thousands of dollars lying around to spend on a personal trainer who spends every minute with you making sure you eat correctly and push yourself to the limits with your workouts. If you do, you should probably just hire a personal trainer to whip your ass into shape.

But if you’re like the rest of us (me included) then you probably want to know the inexpensive route to getting abs like Ryan Gosling.

Ryan Gosling – Fit Hollywood Star

Ryan Gosling is probably one of the most in-shape icons in Hollywood. He has so much sex appeal that when you ask a girl what she wants in a guy, all she can say is… “Ryan Gosling”.

In his recent role in Crazy, Stupid, Love, it is safe to say that he was started to take his fitness pretty seriously. If you compare his pictures from The Notebook and his pictures from Crazy, Stupid, Love you will see the difference:

Ryan Gosling wasn’t in any way considered “obese” or out of shape. He wasn’t as shredded as he now is because of the Ryan Gosling workout though. He definitely took the time to cut his body fat and bulk up his shoulders and tone his upper body.

His change definitely needs mentioning and it is obvious that he has worked hard on his fitness levels.

Ryan Gosling Fitness Regime

Ryan’s fitness regime is a combination of both a strict diet and lots of exercise. Ryan Gosling exercises 4 days a week while resting for the remaining 3 days. He pays a lot of attention to the upper part of his body and does a lot of low repetition but heavy intensity workouts for his shoulders and chest. After this, he hops on the treadmill and runs for 15-20 minutes, alternating 30 seconds of sprinting and then 90 seconds of light jog or quickly walking.

This change of pace on his cardio is great for burning calories and muscle confusion.

He then does a lot of stretching and bending exercises that take care of his obliques and they give him that crucial v-shaped look that he has. The heavy intensity workouts helped him pack dense muscle onto his shoulder and chest, which is responsible for that line which runs from the bottom of his chest to his collar bone and adds to his sex appeal.

Ryan Gosling Fitness Routine

Ryan Gosling has a high metabolic rate which helps him remain muscular and lean even when he gorges on fatty foods like he did for “The Notebook”. Besides that, the fitness routine that he followed, along with supplementing it with a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and meat have helped him achieve his current fitness levels. His diet consists of a low calorie, low carb diet and he uses protein shakes to maintain his muscular frame.

Ryan’s body is both lean and muscler, which is not considered too beefy or too skinny. If you compare his current physique with his previous body you can tell he never had a problem losing weight. He was already very skinny when he started his career in hollywood. You can tell this by his role as Sunshine in “Remember the Titans”.

He never used to be obsessed with exercise, but this has changed as of lately and you can tell by his transformation. Though he works out in moderation, it is the combination of strength training, stretching and bending exercises that have helped him achieve his current physique.
